Maharaja Thali Restaurant
Our royal unlimited thali — sweet, farsan, curries, breads, rice, khichdi with kadhi, chaas and mukhwas. Thirty menus, thirty days, unlimited refills.
Taste of Gujarat & Rajasthan, since over a decade
Thirty different unlimited thali menus for thirty days of the month — Gujarati, Rajasthani and North Indian, served the way a village dhaba serves family. Dine-in, takeaway, IRCTC train delivery, catering and tiffin across Hubballi.
A message from our founder
A thali is not a plate of food. It is a family sitting down together — and that is what we have tried to serve in Hubli every single day.
When we opened the doors of Rasoi Veg Thali at Kutchi House, we had one promise: nobody walks out of our pure veg restaurant in Hubli still hungry, and nobody eats the same thali twice in a month. That promise turned into thirty rotating menus, more than 150 farsan preparations, and a kitchen that still grinds its own masalas.
Today our guests come from every corner of Hubballi — students from Vidyanagar, families from Gokul Road, travellers stepping off a train at Hubli Railway Station — and we have carried the same kitchen to Visakhapatnam. Wherever the next Rasoi opens, the ghee, the hospitality and the unlimited refills will not change.

We are specialised in:
RASOI's Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine is unique in many ways from other culinary traditions of India. Gujarat and Rajasthan are among the few cultures where a majority of people are vegetarian, a habit that grew out of the religious ideologies and beliefs of the region. At Rasoi you will find a huge variety of mouthwatering dishes, and the unlimited thali is our USP — we run 30 unique menus for all 30 days of the month, so your thali is never a repeat. A Jain thali without onion and garlic is also available on request and subject to availability.
There is a saying in Indian tradition that any work we begin should be started by eating something sweet, and so our thali opens with a sweet dish — moong dal halwa, shahi tukda, jalebi, malpua, basundi, rabdi, gulab jamun, dudhi halwa, gajar halwa, mohanthal, mandhur milan, shevaiya kheer, apple kheer, apple halwa, banana halwa and many more. Next come the snacks, which Gujarati and Rajasthani kitchens call farsan: bhakale ka bhajiya, moong dal kachori, khaman dhokla, khatta dhokla, patra, muthiya, khandvi, khichu, dal dhokli, handvo, surti pizza, gughra, khatta roll, methi gota — the list is never ending, with more than 150 types of snacks and farsan. In dhokla alone we make over 30 varieties: sandwich dhokla, masala dhokla, pav bhaji dhokla, dabeli dhokla, Rajasthani dhokla, paneer dhokla, schezwan dhokla and many more.
After this it is time for the main course, and the popular Gujarati and Rajasthani curries take over: surti undhiyu, sev tamatar sabzi, Rajasthani gatte ki sabzi, aloo kanda rasawala, bhindi sambhariya, cabbage chatpata, turiya wataana, Bikaneri papad sabzi, aloo rajwadi, panchkuti saag and aloo lasuniya. To eat them there are breads of every kind — ghee phulka, bajri rotla, jowar rotla, puri, methi thepla, rumali paratha, masala rotla, bhakhri and dal baati. Then follow basmati rice and tikha dal with desi ghee poured over it, and above all moong dal khichdi with Gujarati kadhi (sweet) or Rajasthani kadhi (spicy), which is the yummiest part of the meal.
And it is still not over — how can a Gujarati and Rajasthani thali be complete without chaas (buttermilk), papad, salad, achaar, meethi chutney, tikhi chutney and mukhwas? This unlimited thali is truly never ending. Awaiting your warm presence to serve you with the best of hospitality and service, and to make your visit to our pure veg restaurant in Hubli a memorable one.
